Surveillance is dangerous. It enables discrimination based on almost any criteria, including: race; religion; class; and political belief. Internet surveillance has evolved into a shockingly extensive, robust and profitable monitoring system. As an internet user, you are tracked everywhere you go online by companies and data brokers.
This project investigates the extent of internet surveillance, data collection and the tracking that happens online, by calling for transparency and accountability in an industry that is deliberately and conveniently unseen.
